Christmas '08

Well, here it is... Christmas... and I'm sick (sigh). I've got a hacking cough, fever, runny nose, the works! I guess the one good thing about being sick on Christmas is that I actually get to relax (I'm trying to see this glass half FULL people). This cold has been trying to overtake me for a little over a week now, and I gave up the fight when I realized I had a fever this morning. In to bed I went, hacking all the way. Before going to bed, however, I got to see Charlie open a few of his Christmas presents (yay!). He was sooooo impatient to start opening them, but somehow managed to find it within himself to wait until David and I were BOTH there to see him do it. I only wish I hadn't been so sick that I completely forgot to even take a single picture of it! Oh well!

Snow!

Winter Concert ~ Postponed

Because of the "Arctic Blast" (as the meteorologists are calling it), the Winter Concert has been postponed from December 16 and is now going to take place on January 16th! It will be at the same place, same time (Sherman Clay & Co. Pianos, 7:00pm.) We hope you can all make it!

David's Winter '08 Concert

A group of musicians have gathered together to perform music that David has composed over the years. This Winter Concert is absolutely free to the community, and will serve refreshments afterward. This will all take place on December 16th at 7pm at Shermon Clay & Co. Pianos in downtown Portland. Here's a picture of the flyer that David created:

Theo's Birthday

December 1st came upon us rather quickly this year. We did our traditions. We visited Theo's grave, placed roses on his gravestone (four of them this year, one from each of his family members), and bought and set up our christmas tree. My parents, David's parents, and Stephen all participated in decorating the tree in the evening. Even Charlie "helped"... saying, "Missmiss twee, mommy! Oooooo... pwetty." (LOL) Later we broke out a board game, and halfway through the game, Tanner stopped by with a birthday present for Theo from their family. So we even got to visit with him for awhile. It was all in all a good day.
