This idea popped into my head about a week before I was able to actually put flesh to that idea. The day before my birthday, I took some paper out and was able to write out the lyrics to a song that had been sturring in my soul for the past year-and-a-half. I'm so excited to share this with you (whoever actually stumbles accross this blog of mine... lol!) However, I have to admit that I was a bit nervous to share it. Now, though, I'm excited, because I know that this song was put into my head not by ME but by the Holy Spirit himself! I'm so amazed by Him!
Beloved
V1:
The days were up and down and filled with fear
As a child I learned that You were always near
Day and night I talked to You
Some nights I sobbed the whole night through
And there You were, my God, my King,
By my side, holding me.
And You called me ... beautiful
And You called me ... beloved
And you wiped away my tears ... with Your kisses
V2:
Then the time came when You gave and took away
Broken hearted and angry, on You I placed the blame
I sank down and drowned in grief
I turned my back on You in disbelief
So loud was the chaos inside of me
I couldn't hear You calling me ...
... "beautiful"
... "beloved"
And I pushed away Your arms ... and Your kisses
V3:
For years and years I lost myself in grief
Whispers all night long would torment me
The lies began to take hold of me
Now trapped, the chains weighed heavily
In deepest pain I could not flee
The dragon's grip on me
And You called to me ... "beautiful"
... "beloved"
"I want to wipe away your tears ... with my kisses"
V4:
Then I saw You riding on a snow-white horse
In Your hand You gripped a two-edged sword
Demons fled with just one Word
Then You sleighed my dragon with a mighty force
And there You were, my God, my King,
By my side, holding me!
And You called me ... beautiful
And You called me ... beloved
And You wiped away my tears ... with Your kisses

Charlie's NINE!
Charlie turned 9 -- NINE!!! -- on Sunday (March 22nd). I am so proud of him, and so thankful for the many, many friends and family who surround him with such continual love and encouragement. He has always been a thinker. He loves sience, leggos, science, fishing, science, remote control anythings, science, reading, and did I meantion science? And he also is able to enjoy the simple things, too. On Saturday (the day of his party) I bought him one of those floating, shiny, metalic balloons that says "Happy Birthday" on it. Well, he's had that thing tied to him ever since. He's got such a great spirit, and I love him so much!
