Beloved

This idea popped into my head about a week before I was able to actually put flesh to that idea.  The day before my birthday, I took some paper out and was able to write out the lyrics to a song that had been sturring in my soul for the past year-and-a-half.  I'm so excited to share this with you (whoever actually stumbles accross this blog of mine... lol!)  However, I have to admit that I was a bit nervous to share it.  Now, though, I'm excited, because I know that this song was put into my head not by ME but by the Holy Spirit himself!  I'm so amazed by Him!

The days were up and down and filled with fear

Some nights I sobbed the whole night through

Broken hearted and angry, on You I placed the blame

I sank down and drowned in grief

I turned my back on You in disbelief

So loud was the chaos inside of me

For years and years I lost myself in grief

The lies began to take hold of me

Now trapped, the chains weighed heavily

In deepest pain I could not flee

The dragon's grip on me

Then I saw You riding on a snow-white horse

In Your hand You gripped a two-edged sword

Demons fled with just one Word

Then You sleighed my dragon with a mighty force

And there You were, my God, my King,
